Decomposition is the central physical sign of the occurrence of cosmosis according the school of naturalism in Astronism and denotes a person becoming one with The Cosmos.
Decomposition, also referred to in the Omnidoxy as perishment, in Astronism, is the naturalistic approach to understanding the process of cosmosis and involves the state and process of one's physical body decaying and thus "becoming one" with The Earth as a progenial derivation of The Cosmos.
The other approach, known as the transtellationist approach, adds that following one's bodily union with The Cosmos, one's spirit also becomes reunited with The Cosmos through a myriad of possible processes, the most prominent of which is transtellation.
